‘Show and Tell’ with Zoe Upton: Peat use and gardening
UCL-Wide EventPast event
Find out more about the latest research on peat (an ancient and partially decomposed plant material from wetlands) and its use in gardening with UCL researcher Zoe Upton.
In this talk, Zoe will explore the implications of peat use on gardening behaviours (i.e. compost production and cultivation), its impact on the environment, and opportunities to move towards alternative ‘peat-free’ gardening practices. Her research is carried out in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
Join us to hear about the latest UCL materials research, explore and handle new materials, and hear more from the researchers behind it.
