‘Show and Tell’ with Aaron Jones: PLA plastics and biodegradation
UCL-Wide EventPast event
Explore the latest research on novel plastics and biodegradable tree shelters with UCL researcher, Aaron Jones.
In this talk, Aaron will explore the idea of materials specifically designed to have lifelike properties that respond to forest ecosystems, examining how we can develop PLA (polylactic acid) plastics that sense moisture, microbes and decay. Through this research, we're able to create materials that biodegrade more readily in nature, leaving less pollution and plastic behind.
Join us to find out more about the latest UCL materials research, explore and handle new materials, and to hear more from the researcher behind it.
