Member Masterclass: Scale Model Making (Morning)

Learn the art of scale mod­el mak­ing in this detail-ori­ented mas­ter­class with mod­el­maker Maz Wei­neck.

Dis­cov­er how archi­tects and design­ers work across a scope of dimen­sions, learn their pro­cess and gain insight to how they cre­ate tiny archi­tec­tur­al designs. From draw­ing and design­ing at scale, to tak­ing these designs and turn­ing them into 3D objects using card and thin tim­ber, you’ll first cre­ate tiny fur­niture, then zoom out to make lar­ger frag­ments of buildings.

Maz Wei­neck is a mod­el­maker and artist, who’s work cel­eb­rates archi­tec­ture and the city in all it’s forms. Maz has worked in archi­tec­ture for over 10 years, includ­ing hav­ing worked for Stan­ton Wil­li­ams, the archi­tects behind the design of UCL Marshg­ate — the home of our Strat­ford Workshop.
