Are you a UCL researcher who would benefit from cross-disciplinary conversation with a glass artist?
This November, we’re inviting UCL researchers to attend a one-on-one consultancy session with our maker-in-residence, award-winning glass artist Joshua Kerley.
During his decades-long practice, Joshua has worked with various glass-making and mould-making processes, playing with transparency, reflection, hardness and shine. This exploratory approach allows the material itself to guide his work’s visual and physical qualities, allowing the glass to masquerade as something else through his experimental use of kilns.
Join Joshua to discuss your work and gain valuable insight by learning more about his extensive expertise and inspiration, exploring the cross-pollination that can result from pairing makers and academics. Complete the application form to tell us more about your research and why a session with Joshua would support your practice, and find out how hands-on making can spark creativity and new ways of thinking in engineering, architecture, medicine, the humanities and social sciences.
