Learn how to throw clay on the potter's wheel!
What to expect
This 2-hour induction will show you how to prepare clay for throwing, and to begin practising to throw forms on the wheel. We'll go through relevant tools and techniques, and the rest is up to you and some practice time.
Before using the ceramics area and pottery wheels after this induction (unless you have done so already), you will also need to complete a (roughly) 10-15 minute Ceramics Area Training. You can do this on a drop-in basis by asking a member of staff to run through this with you and mark you as trained in the space.
You will then be able to book the pottery wheels via the website.

Attendee information
We would recommend wearing clothes that can get dirty and flat, closed-toe shoes. Any long nails may be broken!
