Meet the Materials
Public EventsPast event
This short but sweet introductory tour of our Materials Library is open to all materials enthusiasts!
The Materials Library is a handling collection of some of the most wondrous materials on earth, gathered from sheds, kitchens, workshops, labs and factories around the world. Come and have a poke about on the shelves, jingle the jars, talk to us more about our eclectic collection, and revel in materials with us.
This introductory session is an hour long and is suitable for over 18s who would like to know more about the Materials Library and discover what we have on our shelves, from silly putty to mushroom leather and glass formed by lightning.
We have twelve slots available for this trial event. Booking is required and is on a first come, first served basis.
Once we’ve trialled this, it will become a regular event, so don’t worry if you miss out this time, there will be opportunities in the future.
