About the job...

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Office Manager to administer a varied workload whilst delivering tasks to a high standard. You will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, both internally and externally, to build positive working relationships. Being organised is essential, as are good people skills.

The Institute of Making team is collaborative in everything that we do; we're driven by open and creative conversations and enjoy working together to make exciting, engaging and unusual projects happen. Our new Office Manager should share and celebrate these values.

Duties include: managing the Institute of Making’s financial administration; managing and supporting the Institute’s HR administration; planning, organising and contributing to team meetings and taking minutes where appropriate; overseeing the Stratford reception area, including line managing an incoming receptionist role and any related interns; managing the physical office spaces; overseeing and triaging general internal and external enquiries. They will also generally assist the Institute of Making Director and work closely with other managers within the team, across all areas of the Institute, to ensure the effective running of the organisation. It’s also important that the post holder acts with discretion when working on matters of a confidential nature.
