About Angelita Cervero

Angelita is a Support Technician at the Institute of Making, where she supports members across both analogue and digital making practices. She’s known for her warm, collaborative approach and her ability to help members feel confident, curious, and empowered in their making journey.

Angelita has a background in art education, with a focus on democratic, progressive, and collaborative learning spaces. She holds an MA in Art Education, Culture and Practice from UCL’s Institute of Education, where her research explored new materialism and the agency of objects in artistic processes.

During her studies, she discovered the Institute of Making as a member and later joined as an Analogue Intern, developing hands-on expertise in ceramics, screen printing, and sewing. Her art practice centres on puppet making—a discipline that draws on a wide range of processes, machines, and materials. This multidisciplinary approach gives her a deep sensitivity to texture, form, and storytelling, which she brings into her work in the workshop. Angelita is passionate about supporting members in finding their own creative paths—with care, curiosity, and respect for the material world.
