Past event

Date

Time
14:00 — 16:30

Find your flow within the flames in this hands-on glass lampworking masterclass with Roslyn Studio.

In this masterclass, Roslyn will guide you through lampworking techniques: twisting and sculpting glass, pulling stringers to add texture and pattern, and flattening molten forms to fuse elements together. Abstract shapes and doodling textures will inspire your pieces, transforming ideas into glowing glass miniature sculptures. You'll leave with two to three miniature masterpieces, each one uniquely shaped by heat, movement and experimentation.

Roslyn Studio is an indie brand based in the North West of of England, founded by glass artist, Roslyn Ashcroft. Roslyn blends traditional craft with contemporary design, sculpting each murano glass piece by hand over a high-intensity flame. Drawing inspiration from her own doodles and abstract paintings, she translate intuitive lines and scribbles into sculptural forms through the mesmerising process of lampworking. The result is playful yet sophisticated jewellery, unique in its individual quirks and personality.
