In this hour-long workshop, Professor Stephen Ashworth will explain the science and making behind historical magic, providing a demonstration of classical tricks and then teaching us how to make the components of the 'Human Battery'.

Stephen Ashworth is a Professor of Chemical Physics and Science Communication at the University of East Anglia. Stephen, or the Kitchen Chemist as he is sometimes known, studied chemistry and developed a career in research. As his interest in public engagement with science developed he won grants for public communication, and now regularly performs shows and workshops at schools, festivals, and conferences around the world.

No experience or skill necessary, all welcome!
