Ever wondered how fishermen recorded the size of their catch before the invention of photography? The old Japanese printing technique of Gyotaku or 'fish rubbing' provided a solution. We will be using real fish and squid ink with a range of different papers to print.  Join artists Eleanor Morgan, James Keith and Sam Curtis to explore this printing process and get hands-on with a range of fish and cephalopods.

When they are not rubbing fish, Eleanor Morgan is an artist and writer, James Keith is the Printmaking Technician at the Slade School of Fine Art, and Sam Curtis is the founder of the Centre for Innovative and Radical Fishmongery
