We’re looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and organised person with excellent communication skills to join our growing team. Could it be you?
Deadline for applications: Wednesday 6th November at 23:59
As an Events Manager at the Institute of Making, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering intriguing, joyful events that celebrate materials and making. This role is perfect for someone who is flexible, positive and organised, and someone who enjoys being hands-on with all areas of the event management process.
You’ll cater to a wide variety of audiences to deliver events with creativity and organisational flair, including large-scale public festivals, and materials and making related masterclasses.
Joining a small, dynamic team, you’ll work closely to make a big impact with our Head of Events & Communications, Sara, our Events Manager, Liza, and our Communications Manager, Becca. Our team and workplace put people first - we actively build a culture where everyone feels welcomed, valued, included and empowered.
The ideal candidate would understand how to engage with local communities; helping us to connect with local makers, creative networks and community events/programmes in and around East London (the home of our brand-new, second workshop). We encourage applications from those who are interested in the arts and/or sciences, but may not have traditional arts/sciences backgrounds.
