Cheltenham Science Festival is on

07 June 2011

It's awfully quiet in the office here today in London-town: that's because the Cheltenham Science Festival started today.

This year's festival promises to be yet another memorable one,  packed with stimulating talks and demonstrations on topics like chemistry and architecture, ocean acidification, and the science of cannabis. Experts like Brian Cox will also be giving a few (sold-out) talks.

You'll also be able to catch our Zoe Laughlin alonside engineer Amanda Brummitt on Saturday 11 June during "One Tough Cookie" where she'll  be demonstrating the strength of building materials using cookie dough and oven temperatures as an analogy. Our team's Mark Miodownik will also be doing his Royal Institute Christmas Lectures on Sunday 12 June, starting at 2:30pm.
