Learn to make beautiful Jesmonite tiles which incorporate reclaimed materials. You will learn the basics of the casting and moulding processes, integrate reclaimed or natural elements, and finally sand the tiles back to expose the beautiful textures within. You will come away with four tiles or coasters with unique surface designs.

Stephanie Tudor is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bristol producing sculptural installations and bespoke furniture on commission. Her practice is materials and process led and focused on the exploration of tactility and surface quality. Interested in the emotional response tactile materials can evoke, and the relationship that occurs between object and audience, her work seeks to strengthen connections through touch

The Institute of Making is a multidisciplinary research club for those interested in the made world: from molecules to buildings, synthetic skin to spacecraft, soup to diamonds, socks to cities. Through its Makespace, Materials Library and events programme, the Institute aims to provide all makers with a creative home in which to innovate, contemplate and understand all aspects of materials, and explore their relationship to making.
