Fully booked - see afternoon for drop-in circuitry

***Apologies for earlier booking issues - booking for this masterclass is now OPEN!***

Digital logic was never meant to be used to make music, so that's exactly what Jakub Zalesak is going to teach us how to do. In the process, we'll walk through the process of designing a Printed Circuit Board, learn how to solder beautiful builds, explore the niche world of logic synthesizers from triangles and squares to the hard nasal sound of oscillator sync, and take a peek at the nature of sound and electricity. You will leave with a synth to impress (or annoy) your friends and hopefully new views on what makes sound.

A physics student, Jakub Zalesak come from a family of makers and currently run workshops for the UCL division of Engineers Without Borders. He became enchanted by electronics while repairing a set of headphones at 13 and has carried a love for electronics with him ever since, right through to now working on sweep generators for Antarctic radars. Jakub loves breaking complex things down and assembling them differently, and believes that hardware shoud be open-source.

If you cannot book onto Jakub's Masterclass take a look at his Circuitry Big Make session in the afternoon.
