Dapple - Jeremy Bentham’s Stick

It’s Wood Week at the Institute of Making, and to coincide with our stick dressing masterclass with Calleva Stick Dressers today, we’ll be proudly displaying UCL’s spiritual father Jeremy Bentham’s beloved walking stick Dapple.
‘Twenty years after I am dead, I shall be a despot, sitting in my chair with Dapple in my hand...’ he wrote in his will – and so he is!
